21st Century Skills – New Learning

The term “21st Century Skills” summarizes capabilities considered to be key factors for personal success in our fast world. They are important in schools as well as for companies aiming to successfully adapt in fast-changing markets.

Among the important (self) learning skills include

  •  analytical thinking
  •  complex problem solution
  •  teamwork
  • communication skills

    This list differs from traditional academic skills in that they are not primarily content-based knowledge-based but rather focus more on process- and solution-oriented knowledge transfer.

These skills, abilities and learning dispositions are deemed essential by leaders in many different disciplines, including educators, business leaders, academics and government agencies across the globe.
